The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pattonson forces Soriano back against the cage and clinches.

Soriano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Soriano avoids a punch combination nicely.
Soriano tried to counter with a leg kick but Pattonson avoided it.
Pattonson throws a head kick but Soriano moves out of range.
Pattonson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Soriano moves into range and clinches up with Pattonson.

Soriano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pattonson closes the distance and pushes Soriano back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pattonson wants to pass the guard but Soriano is keeping the position.

Pattonson has hold of Soriano's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Soriano manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pattonson wants to control but Soriano is keeping him busy.

Pattonson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Soriano is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pattonson yanks on the arm and Soriano is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pattonson.
