The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Parker sprawls well. He's pushed McGregor Jr 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McGregor Jr closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McGregor Jr lands in his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parker is on top in guard.

Parker wants to control but McGregor Jr is keeping him busy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Parker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGregor Jr swivels and escapes.
McGregor Jr pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Parker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
McGregor Jr is wriggling around but Parker manages to pass to half guard.

McGregor Jr is trying to stand.

Parker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

McGregor Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Parker in particular looking to stall.
We've been informed that Parker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
It looks like Parker is going to stand back up.
McGregor Jr is trying to stand up here but Parker is controlling him well.
Parker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Parker is thwarting McGregor Jr 's attempts to control the position.
Still in half guard, Parker seems content to control.
Parker passes to side control.
McGregor Jr tries to improve position but can't.

Parker misses with the ground and pound.

Parker leaves McGregor Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Parker throws a left and a right that both miss
and McGregor Jr counters with a two punch combo.
Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McGregor Jr misses with a takedown attempt - Parker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Parker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
McGregor Jr tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Parker defends well and McGregor Jr ends up having to push Parker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Parker's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? McGregor Jr is holding on here and Parker must be using up a lot of energy. McGregor Jr has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Parker gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
