The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alceu Barbosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A jab from Barbosa finds it's way through Carter's defenses.
Barbosa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carter has time to react.
Barbosa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Carter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Barbosa scores with a decent looking hook.
Barbosa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Carter is rocked!

Oh Carter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Barbosa connects with a nice looking jab.
Barbosa steps in with a hook that catches Carter right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Barbosa follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Carter looks absolutely devastated.
