Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Korn Gracie (ranked 2101 p4p, 249 weight class) and Billy Bongrips (ranked 1709 p4p, 214 weight class). Korn Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bongrips lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bongrips has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gracie is landing a low percentage of strikes.

We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bongrips is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gracie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bongrips with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Bongrips's temple.

Gracie is nestled in close to Bongrips, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bongrips looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gracie has picked Bongrips up and slammed him! Bongrips can't keep hold of the triangle and Gracie manages to pass to side control!

Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bongrips to see if he's OK.
Gracie gets to mount! Bongrips was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bongrips can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Bongrips is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

BOOM! Gracie connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gracie lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Gracie postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Bongrips bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Gracie and the fight is over!
