The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shelby tries to clinch up but Dozer circles away and keeps his distance.
Shelby closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dozer's guard.
Shelby gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A head kick misses from Dozer.
Dozer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shelby appears to be looking for a big counter.
Dozer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Shelby has been working on his balance at Poseidon MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Dozer.

Dozer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shelby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shelby is taking a breather. Dozer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dozer tries to kick Shelby off but Shelby keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
