Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Penn (ranked 2716 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Gomez (ranked 2248 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gomez pinned against the cage. Gomez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gomez drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Penn defends it well.
Penn wants to clinch up but Gomez keeps it at a distance.

Gomez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Penn is trying to control Gomez's posture but Gomez avoids it.
Gomez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well Gomez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
