Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edgardo Flores (ranked 25062 p4p, 461 weight class) and Corsley Edwards (ranked 5870 p4p, 416 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edgardo Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corsley Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Edwards avoids the head kick by Flores.
Edwards unleashes a big counter combination but Flores bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Flores throws a left and a right that both miss

and Edwards counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Edwards is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Flores pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Edwards's coach down at Montreal Community Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Edwards's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Flores breaks the clinch.
Edgardo Flores seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flores throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Edwards's head.

It looks like Corsley Edwards has been cut.
Edwards fails with a takedown attempt.
Flores tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Flores misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Flores misses with a head kick.
Edwards darts in looking for a takedown but Flores gets double underhooks and turns Edwards into the cage.
Edgardo Flores has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corsley Edwards.
Edwards avoids a punch combination nicely.
Flores misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Edwards dives in and scores a takedown into Flores's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Edwards won't allow Flores to get back to his feet.
Edwards stands and throws Flores's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Edwards passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Flores!

Flores has given up his back.

Edwards is cranking Flores's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Flores! He's tightened the choke and Flores is tapping out!

After the fight, Corsley Edwards was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
