The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hazuki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rutkowski napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hazuki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rutkowski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hazuki has Rutkowski in his guard.

Hazuki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rutkowski is aware though and is defending well.
Rutkowski stands up over Hazuki , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
