Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrell Suggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis Scott will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lewis Scott!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott throws the left hand but Suggs avoids the punch easily.

Suggs scores with a takedown into Scott's guard.
Scott wants to get back to his feet but Suggs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Scott wants to stand up but Suggs is controlling him.

Suggs shoots in but Scott avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Scott is pushing Suggs's head away, looking to escape. Suggs manages to hold on to the position though.

A jab from Scott finds it's way through Suggs's defenses.


It looks like Terrell Suggs has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suggs fails with a takedown attempt.
Suggs throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Scott punishes Suggs's body with a nice straight punch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Scott takes a swing at Suggs's ribcage but misses.
Suggs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scott tries to avoid it but Suggs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scott to the ground. Scott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Scott avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scott swings for the body but Suggs moves out of range.
Scott ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Scott bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Suggs's head.

Suggs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scott.
Suggs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Scott stuffs the takedown.

Scott lands a nice hook to Suggs's body. Suggs takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Suggs avoids the body shot from Scott.

Lewis Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Suggs sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Scott's guard.
Suggs passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Scott!
Suggs won't let Scott get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Suggs with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Scott is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nice takedown defense from Scott. No joy for Suggs on that attempt.

Scott connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Suggs has a takedown stuffed.
Lewis Scott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Suggs takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Suggs takes a shot to the body in his stride.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Scott lands a lovely overhand right.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Suggs.

Suggs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terrell Suggs.
I think Suggs has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
