Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terryn Dall (ranked 1540 p4p, 173 weight class) and Malaki Lima (ranked 1049 p4p, 135 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima wants to clinch
and Dall counters with a left and a right that stings Lima.
Dall staying out of range there.
It looked like Dall was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lima.
Lima throws a series of punches but Dall moves out of range.
A nice combination there by Lima.
Lima throws a series of strikes that have Dall backpedaling.
Lima doesn't manage to clinch there - Dall circles away.
Lima throws the left hand but Dall avoids the punch easily.
Lima tries to bum rush Dall with a series of wild strikes but Dall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lima throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lima throws a right and a left that Dall avoids nicely.
Dall drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lima sprawls and moves away.

No luck for Lima with that takedown attempt.
Malaki Lima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lima swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lima shoots in looking for a takedown. Dall tries to sprawl out of it but Lima keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Lima counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lima seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Lima is looking to take a break and control but Dall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lima moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Dall.
Dall is trying to control Lima's posture but Lima avoids it.
Dall is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lima's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lima is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dall sees it coming and defends easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lima is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dall was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lima shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dall as he jumps to the side.

and Dall counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lima is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lima closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dall is trying to drag Lima to the mat but Lima just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Dall tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lima smiles and moves away.

Lima is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Lima tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dall paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lima shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dall is trying to defend but Lima finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lima slips a nice elbow through Dall's hands, connecting with Dall's forehead.
Malaki Lima has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lima pulls his head out easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lima is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lima is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lima. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

A close second round but Malaki Lima will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Dall went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Dall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lima throws out the jab.
Malaki Lima is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lima moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Lima lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dall circles away quickly and effectively.

It looked like Dall wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dall is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Dall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lima.
Lima rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dall moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dall wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Lima bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lima takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dall tries to bench press Lima off him but Lima keeps the position.
Lima just content to control the position.
Lima is looking to take a break and control but Dall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Malaki Lima is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

You can see the frustration on Dall's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Malaki Lima comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lima has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
