The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halwick lands with a kick to the temple. Samir shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Samir takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nice defenses there by Halwick.
Samir lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Halwick darts in and clinches Samir up against the cage.
Halwick wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Halwick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Samir on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Samir dodges an elbow strike from Halwick.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Samir as Halwick tries to tie him up.

Halwick has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Halwick is trying to push Samir away but Samir has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Halwick tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Halwick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Halwick has Samir pressed against the cage, preventing Samir from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Halwick misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Samir.
Halwick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Samir thows a left - swing and a miss!
Halwick throws a series of punches but Samir moves out of range.
Samir smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Samir looks to throw the jab but Halwick is out of range.
Samir throws a hook to the side of Halwick's head but Halwick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Samir fails to land with a series of punches.
Samir swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Halwick.
Halwick is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Samir.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Samir shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Halwick eats them both and turns towards Samir to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Halwick is rocked!
and Samir counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Halwick! He's just covering up as Samir starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mohammed Samir!
