Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kartofloson (ranked 4451 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristof Kijowsky (ranked 4501 p4p, 0 weight class). Kristof Kijowsky is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kristof Kijowsky!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kartofloson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kijowsky steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Kijowsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kartofloson but Kartofloson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kijowsky leaves Kartofloson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kijowsky lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Kijowsky takes the fight into the clinch.
Kartofloson stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kijowsky fails to pull guard.
Kartofloson tries for a takedown but Kijowsky manages to get underhooks.

Kijowsky misses with a takedown attempt - Kartofloson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kartofloson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kijowsky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kartofloson is in Kijowsky's guard.

Kartofloson gets to his feet. Kijowsky looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kartofloson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kijowsky swivels and escapes.
Kartofloson shoots in for a takedown but Kijowsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kijowsky will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kijowsky looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kijowsky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kijowsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Kartofloson sprawls well. He's pushed Kijowsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kartofloson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kijowsky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kartofloson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kijowsky swivels and escapes.

Kijowsky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kartofloson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kijowsky looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kartofloson is fending him off so far but Kijowsky persists. Nope, Kartofloson circles away and we're back to standing.

Kartofloson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That was a close round but I would say that Kris Kartofloson will probably get the nod.

Kartofloson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kijowsky's waist but Kijowsky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kartofloson off to one side.
Kartofloson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kijowsky but Kijowsky pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kris Kartofloson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kijowsky rushes Kartofloson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kijowsky throws a right hand that Kartofloson ducks under and follows up with a left that Kartofloson also avoids with ease.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kartofloson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kartofloson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kijowsky defends well and Kartofloson ends up having to push Kijowsky into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kartofloson is pressed up against the cage. Kijowsky has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kartofloson down to the mat. Kartofloson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kartofloson goes for a double leg but Kijowsky avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kijowsky continues to drive forward.

Kristof Kijowsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kartofloson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kartofloson dives in and grabs Kijowsky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kijowsky pushes down on Kartofloson's head and hops out.

Horrible takedown attempt by Kartofloson or perhaps it was just good defense by Kijowsky, which made it look bad.

Kijowsky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kartofloson avoids it really well and circles away.

Kijowsky chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kartofloson can pounce on him.

Kijowsky shoots in but no luck this time.
Kartofloson jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Kijowsky moves into the clinch.
Kartofloson has Kijowsky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kijowsky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kijowsky is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kartofloson to keep the fight standing.

Kartofloson jumps into guard, dragging Kijowsky to the mat.
Kijowsky is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kijowsky wants to pass the guard but Kartofloson is keeping the position.
Kijowsky wants to control from the top but Kartofloson keeps moving.

Kartofloson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kijowsky has passed into half guard!
Kijowsky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kartofloson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Still in half guard, Kijowsky seems content to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kartofloson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kijowsky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
