The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobby Jr throws a sloppy head kick
and Kagonbo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Ricky Bobby Jr has been cut.
Bobby Jr throws a leg kick
and Kagonbo counters with a nice leg kick.
Bobby Jr lands a head shot.

Bobby Jr pushes Kagonbo up against the cage in a clinch.

Kagonbo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bobby Jr looks to land a left hand but Kagonbo moved out of range nicely.
Kagonbo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Bobby Jr misses with the combination.
Bobby Jr throws a right hand that misses
and Kagonbo counters with a body kick that stops Bobby Jr in his tracks momentarily.
Kagonbo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kagonbo lands with a straight right. Bobby Jr didn't see that one coming.
Kagonbo lands a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bobby Jr scores with a leg kick.
Kagonbo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kagonbo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bobby Jr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bobby Jr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kagonbo throws a hook to the side of Bobby Jr's head but Bobby Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bobby Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kagonbo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bobby Jr scrambles back to his feet.

Kagonbo missing with a left hand there. Bobby Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kagonbo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kagonbo there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kagonbo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bobby Jr.

Bobby Jr wants to clinch up but Kagonbo keeps it at a distance.
It seemed like Kagonbo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kagonbo blocks a leg kick.
A jab from Bobby Jr finds it's way through Kagonbo's defenses.
Bobby Jr takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kagonbo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kagonbo pounces like a tiger and cracks Bobby Jr with a vicious hook! Bobby Jr is down but not out! Kagonbo follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Bismack Kagonbo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
