The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slice.
Freire looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Freire gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Slice drops back, looking for a kneebar! Freire looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Freire looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Freire!
Freire tries to stand but Slice is controlling his head.
Freire is looking to take a break and control but Slice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Slice is looking for a sweep.
Slice sneaks back into half guard.
Slice is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Freire pulls his head out easily.

Slice has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Freire. Oh but Slice has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Freire goes limp - he's gone! Slice jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
