Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Reny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan De Souza!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Reny at a distance.
Reny misses with a straight right.
De Souza with a jab.
It looks like Nick Reny has been cut.
De Souza sends Reny crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! De Souza is motioning to the referee to let Reny up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Reny is rocked!
De Souza looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
De Souza fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Reny out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Juan De Souza!
After winning the bout, Juan De Souza thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
