Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Vann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naseem Hameed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vann comes into the arena with Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria blaring out of the sound system. Frank Vann could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Naseem Hameed's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vann misses with a body shot.
Vann stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hameed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vann.
Vann misses the shot to the body.
Vann misses with a wild combination.
Hameed misses with a two punch combination.
Vann tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hameed paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Hameed counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Vann!

Vann is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vann is trying to maintain the position but Hameed is very close to passing his half guard.
Oh Vann is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Vann avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hameed.
Vann seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hameed is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Vann is trying to control but can't.
Vann wants to improve his position but Hameed is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vann doesn't manage to clinch there - Hameed circles away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vann lands with an overhand left.

Vann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hameed tries to avoid it but Vann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hameed to the ground. Hameed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vann misses the body punch
and Hameed counters with a series of strikes. Vann will be more careful next time no doubt.
Vann dodges the punch combination from Hameed.
Hameed is looking to clinch but Vann is avoiding it.
Hameed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vann tries for a takedown but Hameed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vann misses with a double jab
and Hameed counters with a left and a right... And another left! Vann is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
