With a record of 25 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sunray Spike!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

Spike tries to work over Paulin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Paulin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Paulin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Spike lands with a straight right. Paulin didn't see that one coming.
Paulin slips a straight right by Spike.
Spike fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Paulin moves out of range of the strikes.

and Paulin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Paulin is looking to break free of the clinch but Spike has double underhooks.

Spike lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Paulin backwards.

Spike blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Spike fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Paulin wants to get back to striking at distance but Spike won't allow it.
Spike swings wildly with an uppercut but Paulin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Spike doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Paulin is trying to break free.
Paulin lands a hook to the side of the head.

Paulin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Paulin.
Paulin slips a jab and a cross from Spike.
Paulin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Spike rushes Paulin and presses him up against the cage.
Spike has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Paulin seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Spike can turn it around.

Spike breaks from the clinch.

Spike lands a big head kick that sends Paulin tumbling to the mat! Spike takes a step backwards and waves Paulin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Paulin looks to land a left hand but Spike moved out of range nicely.

and Spike counters with a nice right hand that sends Paulin toppling to the canvas! Paulin scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Spike finish him?!

and Spike counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sunray Spike!
