Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Cathaway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Cal Robbins!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Robbins does no damage.
Robbins looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Good shot there by Cathaway.
Cathaway fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Robbins on the side of the head.
Cathaway misses with a looping left.
Cathaway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Robbins moves away.

Cathaway catches Robbins napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Robbins to the canvas!


Robbins is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cathaway forces his way into half guard.

Robbins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cathaway pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cathaway wants to control but Robbins is keeping him busy.
Robbins is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Cathaway looks up at the clock and then as Robbins takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cathaway smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cathaway throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Robbins is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cathaway has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Robbins wants to control but Cathaway postures up.
Robbins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cathaway off and has taken his back!
Robbins controlling well, preventing Cathaway from escaping the position.
Robbins lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Robbins.
Robbins keeps control of the position as Cathaway tries to break free.

Robbins has Cathaway flattened out and is raining down punches.
Cathaway looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Cathaway is really stuck here.
Cathaway breaks Robbins's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Robbins has his foot on Cathaway's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cathaway works his way back into a safe position though.

Robbins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Robbins wants to control but Cathaway is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Cathaway looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Robbins tries to roll over but Cathaway keeps him under control.

Jimmy Cathaway dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Cathaway displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Robbins.

and Cathaway counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jimmy Cathaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Robbins.

Cathaway is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Robbins can do to turn this around?
Robbins shoots in for a takedown but Cathaway shows good takedown defense.

and Cathaway makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cathaway lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cathaway connects with a leg kick. Robbins looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cathaway throws a nice inside leg kick.
Robbins is breathing heavily.
Robbins avoids the body shot from Cathaway.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nice sprawl there from Cathaway as Robbins shoots in.
Robbins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Robbins dives in for a single leg takedown but Cathaway sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cathaway cracks Robbins with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Robbins falls to his knees and Cathaway doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Cathaway!
Jimmy Cathaway was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
