Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Owen Bennett (ranked 3031 p4p, 111 weight class) and Pidor Govnarev (ranked 4202 p4p, 163 weight class). Bennett comes into the arena with Dont waste my time blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bennett feints and as Govnarev raises his hands in defense, Bennett changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bennett's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Govnarev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bennett is controlling him.
Bennett is in close to Govnarev's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Govnarev wants to stand up but Bennett is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bennett trying to control the action but Govnarev is working from the bottom.
Govnarev is trying to buck Bennett off.
Bennett works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Bennett in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Bennett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Bennett has an Americana. Govnarev didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bennett is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bennett hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
