PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Scott (ranked 4609 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Betts (ranked 4606 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes into the arena with Cant stop blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Betts's choice of entrance music: champion. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Betts.
Scott misses with a series of wild punches.
Scott throws a combination that misses
and Betts counters with a head kick. That will keep Scott thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Scott swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Betts counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Scott misses with a jab, cross combination.
Betts is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Betts holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Betts is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Betts is trying to pull guard but Scott has him pressed against the cage.
Betts lands a body punch.
Betts can't get the takedown.
Betts has Scott pressed against the cage, preventing Scott from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Scott manages to break the clinch.
Scott throws a right and a left that both miss.
Scott throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Scott takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scott wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Betts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Betts lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Scott throws a right and a left that Betts avoids nicely.
Scott misses with a double jab
and Betts counters with a one-two to the body.

Scott is rocked!
Betts connects with a single shot there.
Oh Scott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Betts lands a big head kick that sends Scott to the canvas! Betts follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
