Malone moves out of range as Viticello strikes.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Viticello has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Malone clobbers Viticello with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A combination from Viticello does no damage.
A telegraphed right hand from Malone misses the target.
Malone bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Viticello's head.

Viticello is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Malone throws a right and a left that Viticello avoids nicely.

A slapping body kick lands there for Malone.

and Viticello counters with a crisp one two that drops Malone! Viticello thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Malone to his feet! Malone is in big trouble!

Viticello moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Malone seems to have got his legs back now.

Viticello throws out a counter right but Malone avoids it with no problem.

Viticello drives through and clinches with Malone against the cage.

Viticello escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
