Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magnus Iii Karlson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Boss!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlson misses with a takedown attempt - Boss sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Karlson.

Boss closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Karlson did well to prevent Boss getting side control.
Boss slows the pace down in half guard.
Boss lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boss landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Boss takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Karlson has hold of Boss's hands but Boss slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boss connects with a nice short shot to Karlson's temple.
Boss wants to stand up but Karlson has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Karlson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boss is fending him off so far but Karlson persists. Nope, Boss circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Boss has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Karlson regains guard immediately.

Karlson wriggles free and stands up.
Karlson is breathing heavily.

Boss moves into range and clinches up with Karlson.

Karlson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Boss is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Karlson to the mat. Karlson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boss has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Karlson is proving hard to escape from.

Boss unleashes a big counter combination but Karlson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Karlson shoots in looking for a takedown. Boss tries to sprawl out of it but Karlson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boss manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Karlson shoots for a double leg takedown but Boss sprawls well. He's pushed Karlson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Karlson sets himself, and Boss steps forward looking for the clinch! Karlson avoids it this time.
Karlson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Karlson has closed the distance and engaged Boss in a clinch.

Boss has Karlson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Boss pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Karlson tumbling to the mat - Boss dives into Karlson's guard.

Boss postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Karlson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boss, into his guard.

Boss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Karlson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Karlson is fighting to break Boss's control of his arms but Boss is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Boss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Boss throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Karlson was covering up waiting for the punch and Boss finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Karlson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Boss manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tom Boss comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Boss has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
