These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Braddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamish McTavish!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTavish throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Braddock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Braddock ducks under a wild hook from McTavish.
McTavish shoots in but no luck this time.

Braddock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McTavish did well to prevent Braddock getting side control.
McTavish is trying to maintain the position but Braddock is very close to passing his half guard.
Braddock tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
McTavish tries to get to full guard but Braddock has control of the leg.
Braddock tries to stand but his hand is stuck under McTavish.
McTavish trying to control here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McTavish is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Braddock is staying active.
McTavish regains full guard. Nicely done.
Braddock wants to stand but McTavish is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

McTavish working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Braddock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but McTavish is tightening it up a little... Braddock has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Braddock reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Braddock taps out! Nice BJJ there by McTavish!
