Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ghazi Okah (ranked 1778 p4p, 221 weight class) and Dada Segbo (ranked 721 p4p, 106 weight class). Okah comes into the arena with Rock Stone blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Segbo's choice of entrance music: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Ghazi Okah had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dada Segbo enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Okah misses the target.
Segbo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Okah digs a good body shot into Segbo's ribs.
Okah throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Segbo to counter with a crisp jab.
We've been informed that Segbo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Segbo lands a head kick. Okah smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Okah throws a hook to the side of Segbo's head but Segbo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Segbo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Segbo is looking for a kimura but Okah is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Segbo to get the leverage.

Segbo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Okah has picked Segbo up and slammed him! Segbo can't keep hold of the triangle and Okah manages to pass to side control!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Okah lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Segbo throws a nice inside leg kick.
Segbo cracks Okah with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Okah misses with a straight right.
A big right from Okah misses.
Okah tests Segbo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Okah tries to clinch up but Segbo circles away and keeps his distance.

Okah throws a hook but Segbo avoids it easily.
Segbo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Segbo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Okah takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Segbo looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Segbo jabs Okah right on the nose. Okah blinks but takes it well.
Okah misses with an uppercut.
Segbo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Okah throws a shot to the body.
Segbo scores with a jab. Okah acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Segbo looks to land a combination. Okah sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Segbo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Okah has time to react.
Okah is rocked!
Segbo throws a leg kick which misses Okah's front leg but catches the back leg as Okah tries to avoid it.
Oh Okah is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Segbo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Segbo misses with a head kick.
Okah seems to have got his legs back now.

Nice uppercut lands for Segbo. That snapped Okah's head back.
Segbo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Segbo cracks the inside of Okah's front leg.

Nice straight punches there by Segbo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Segbo.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Okah is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Segbo throws a front kick aimed at Okah's knee but Okah avoids it well.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Segbo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Segbo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dada Segbo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Okah's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Segbo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Okah connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Segbo scrambles back to his feet.
Segbo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Segbo cracks Okah with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Segbo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Okah to stand back up!
Segbo pounces like a tiger and cracks Okah with a vicious hook! Okah is down but not out! Segbo follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dada Segbo!
In his post fight interview, Dada Segbo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
