Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Twenty Seven (ranked 4584 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silver Fox (ranked 5896 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Twenty Seven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Silver Fox!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It appears Seven was looking to counter with a kick there.
Fox shoots in for a takedown but Seven shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Seven pushes Fox up against the cage in a clinch.
Seven has Fox pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fox manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Seven tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fox smiles and moves away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fox.
It looked like Seven was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Twenty Seven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silver Fox.
Fox shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Seven sprawls well. Seven wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fox gets slowly back to his feet.
Seven went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seven shoots for a double leg takedown but Fox sprawls well. He's pushed Seven's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Seven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fox's waist but Fox gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Seven off to one side.
Seven slaps away a takedown attempt from Fox, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Seven throws a counter high kick but Fox was just alert enough to avoid it.
Seven tries for a takedown but Fox sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Fox misses with a takedown attempt - Seven sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Seven leaves Fox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fox shoots in but Seven avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Seven changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fox tries to avoid it but Seven manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fox to the ground. Fox escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fox is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Seven has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Silver Fox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Seven closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fox gets through Seven's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fox lands a body shot in the clinch.
Seven stalling in the clinch but Fox improves position.
Fox stops a takedown attempt from Seven.

Fox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Seven defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fox.
Seven keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fox fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Seven tries for a takedown but Fox sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Seven working over Fox with some ground and pound. Fox looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Seven is keen to just control but Fox is a slippery customer.
Fox throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Seven manages to pass to side control.
Seven wants to stand but Fox is controlling his arm.

Twenty Seven overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Seven working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fox tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Seven swivels and escapes.

Seven wants to sweep here but Fox controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Twenty Seven will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Fox closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fox controls the position.
Seven gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Fox thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Seven's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seven is trying to get back to full guard.
Well, if Fox is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Seven is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fox sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fox shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Seven but Seven pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fox closes this distance looking for a takedown but Seven circles away.
Seven throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seven stuffs the takedown attempt from Fox. Fox gets slowly back to his feet.
Twenty Seven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silver Fox.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fox is defended easily by Seven.
Fox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Seven shoots in looking for a takedown. Fox tries to sprawl out of it but Seven keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Seven fails with a takedown attempt.
Seven pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Fox doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Fox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Seven moves into range and clinches up with Fox.
Seven goes for a takedown attempt but Fox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fox fails with the takedown.
Seven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fox as he jumps to the side.

Fox decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fox not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Fox thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fox wants to free his trapped foot but Seven is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Seven wants to get back to his feet.
Fox takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fox stands up out of the half guard.
Fox stuffs the takedown.

Fox shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fox was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Silver Fox.
I think Fox has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
