Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mariano Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ragen Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reilly looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cruz doesn't manage to clinch there - Reilly circles away.

Cruz clinches up against the cage.
Cruz tries to stall but Reilly uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cruz landing knees to the head.

Reilly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cruz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reilly swivels and escapes.
Reilly misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reilly's waist but Reilly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.
Cruz scores with a three punch combo!
Cruz looks for a takedown but Reilly sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mariano Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oooh a lovely combination from Cruz sends Reilly down but not out. Cruz dives into side control looking to finish.


Reilly is rocked!
Cruz wants to control but Reilly is keeping him busy.
Cruz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Cruz wants to stand but Reilly has his arm trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reilly keeps working.
Cruz in side control, throwing shots but Reilly defends.
Reilly is looking to regain half guard here but Cruz keeps moving and retains side control.

Cruz decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Reilly circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cruz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Reilly throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cruz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Reilly closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reilly lands in his opponent's guard.
Reilly forces his way into half guard.
Reilly works his foot free and advances to mount.

Reilly working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Cruz looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Reilly! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Ragen Reilly!
