With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryu Takemura!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biernat throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Takemura counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Takemura throws a hook but Biernat blocks it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Biernat looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Biernat went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Biernat misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takemura lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Ryu Takemura seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Biernat counters with a big 3 punch combo that drops Takemura on his ass! Takemura wobbles back to his feet half way through the count and though looking a bit dazed, the referee is going to allow the fight to continue!

and Takemura counters with a three punch combo that has Biernat backing up. Biernat nods at Takemura to acknowledge the strikes.

Takemura throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Biernat moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Takemura escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Takemura scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Biernat doesn't seem bothered though.

I would just about give that final round to Ryu Takemura.
I think Takemura has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
