Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Satoru Yoshioka (ranked 171 p4p, 23 weight class) and Lucio Domicio (ranked 874 p4p, 99 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Domicio!
Domicio throws a lazy right hand but Yoshioka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Domicio's coach down at Island Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Domicio's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Yoshioka takes the fight into the clinch.

Domicio seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Domicio is continuing to stall.
Domicio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yoshioka swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yoshioka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that Satoru Yoshioka will probably get the nod.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Domicio creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Domicio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yoshioka manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Domicio has Yoshioka in his guard.

Lucio Domicio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yoshioka won't enjoy being in this position. Domicio looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Yoshioka is tapping - it's over boys! Domicio picks up the submission victory!
