The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huaman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gays circles away.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gays is on top in guard.

Huaman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gays manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Huaman has Gays in his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Francois Gays.
