Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Garaile Lban!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Anthony!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lban looks to land a right hand but Anthony moved out of range.
Anthony uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lban.
Lban digs a good body shot into Anthony's ribs.
Anthony throws a head kick but Lban moves out of range.
A slow jab from Lban misses its intended target.
Anthony bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lban fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anthony manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice shot by Lban.
Lban wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lban lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Anthony ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lban scores with a punch to the head.
Lban throws the left hand but Anthony avoids the punch easily.
It seemed like Anthony was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The fighters circling - Anthony throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice body punch from Lban.
Anthony looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Anthony cracks Lban with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lban takes a swing at Anthony's ribcage but misses.
Lban tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Anthony was well out of range. Poor timing from Lban.
Lban checks the leg kick.
A quick step to the side and Lban tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lban ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anthony moves away.
Lban connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Anthony's hands.
Lban throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lban takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lban throws an off balance right hand
and Anthony counters with a nice right hand that sends Lban toppling to the canvas! Lban scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Anthony finish him?!
Lban is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Anthony throws a half hearted mid kick.
Oh Lban is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Anthony Throws a clean left jab. Anthony Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Lban's chin! Lban crumbles to the ground and Anthony follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Anthony!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Marc Anthony!
