The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreno tries to clinch but Edwards is having none of it.
Edwards tries to counter by closing the distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Edwards just content to control the position.
Moreno is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Edwards wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moreno keeps working.
Moreno is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Edwards asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Moreno might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Moreno trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Edwards looks for a takedown but Moreno sprawls well.

and Edwards counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Moreno manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Edwards prevents Moreno from breaking the clinch.
Edwards has Moreno pressed against the cage.
Edwards tries a body shot but Moreno blocks it.
Edwards jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moreno walks away with a smile on his face. Edwards gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Moreno is looking to clinch but Edwards is avoiding it.
Moreno looks to land a combination. Edwards sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

No joy there for Moreno, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edwards avoids a punch combination nicely.
Moreno lands with a nice combination. Edwards backs away looking to recover.
Moreno throws a combination that misses

and Edwards counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Moreno is breathing heavily.

Edwards gets to his feet. Moreno looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Edwards misses with a wild combination.

Edwards forces Moreno back against the cage and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Moreno's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Edwards has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Moreno is trying to keep an underhook but Edwards manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Edwards wants to work for an arm triangle but Moreno is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Moreno wants to get back to his feet.

Moreno has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Edwards is on him like a limpet, forcing Moreno back against the cage.
Edwards keeps control of Moreno as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Edwards jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moreno walks away with a smile on his face. Edwards gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alberto Moreno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Edwards.
Edwards takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Edwards fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moreno, pushing him back against the cage.
Edwards has Moreno pressed against the cage, preventing Moreno from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Edwards jumps guard.

Moreno stands up and waves to Edwards to follow him.
Moreno connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alberto Moreno will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
