Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovalov blocks a head kick by Spengliev.
Spengliev tries to close the distance and clinch but Kovalov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kovalov takes a swing at Spengliev's ribcage but misses.
Kovalov tries to land a front kick but Spengliev steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kovalov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Spengliev avoids the head kick by Kovalov.
Kovalov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Spengliev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kovalov tries to avoid it but Spengliev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kovalov to the ground. Kovalov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Spengliev shoots in looking for a takedown. Kovalov tries to sprawl out of it but Spengliev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kovalov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Antonio Kovalov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pyotr Spengliev.

Spengliev has hold of Kovalov's hands but Kovalov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Kovalov lands a big elbow - Spengliev is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kovalov!
