The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maybetter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Silva misses with a straight left.
Maybetter has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Silva is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Maybetter counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Juan Silva has been cut.
Maybetter misses with a two punch combination.
Silva wants to clinch up but Maybetter keeps it at a distance.

Maybetter throws a good cross that connects.

Maybetter clinches with his opponent.
Maybetter blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Silva throws a head punch that misses.
A short uppercut from Maybetter.

Maybetter wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Maybetter persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maybetter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Maybetter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Maybetter pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Maybetter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Silva tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Maybetter!
