The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Costa moves out of range as Bochner strikes.
Bochner pulls out of a head kick attempt.

da Costa feints and as Bochner raises his hands in defense, da Costa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
da Costa wants to pass the guard but Bochner is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
da Costa stops Bochner from standing up.
Bochner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

da Costa passes Bochner's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bochner pushes da Costa off looking to stand but da Costa dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A head kick from da Costa lands but Bochner takes it in his stride.
da Costa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
da Costa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Bochner is looking to regain half guard here but da Costa keeps moving and retains side control.

da Costa has hold of Bochner's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bochner tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - da Costa cranks the arm and Bochner screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bochner, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
