Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Furnum Pullum (ranked 796 p4p, 37 weight class) and Luke Mad Onion (ranked 1585 p4p, 76 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pullum shoots in looking for a takedown. Mad Onion tries to sprawl out of it but Pullum keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mad Onion manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mad Onion throws a counter combo.
No luck for Pullum with that takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pullum.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Furnum Pullum. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mad Onion lands with a nice body punch.

Mad Onion turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pullum has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doc Dannis Death Squad in the buildup to the fight.

Mad Onion tries to break the clinch but Pullum is controlling the position.

Pullum moves forwards but Mad Onion connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pullum looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mad Onion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mad Onion slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Pullum moves into the clinch.
Pullum tries to pull guard but Mad Onion won't allow it.
Pullum manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mad Onion wants to stand but Pullum is controlling his posture from full guard.
Pullum escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mad Onion gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mad Onion wants to get up but he can't break Pullum's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pullum pulls Mad Onion in close to his closed guard and prevents Mad Onion from doing any damage or advancing position.
Mad Onion wanted to stand there but Pullum had control of the position.
Mad Onion is posturing up here but Pullum has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mad Onion tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mad Onion has to tap! Slick submission there by Pullum!

In his post fight interview, Furnum Pullum started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
