Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Melander, pushing him back against the cage.
Melander goes for a takedown attempt but Anderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No luck for Melander with that takedown attempt.

Anderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Melander!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Melander is working to avoid the ground and pound but Anderson connects with a decent elbow.
A lull in the action here as Anderson stalls from top position.

Anderson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Melander's legs.
Melander being controlled for a moment.
Melander tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Melander is looking to reverse the position.
Anderson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Melander tries to buck Anderson off but Anderson is having none of it.
Anderson controlling from side mount.
Melander is looking to regain half guard here but Anderson keeps moving and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Melander, who protects the arm well.
Melander is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Anderson off and has taken his back!
Well, with Melander on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Anderson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Melander has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Anderson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Anderson trying to control the hands but Melander won't let him.

Anderson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Melander is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Anderson has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Melander has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Anderson taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Melander doesn't care though - he's delighted!
