Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cory Ashby (ranked 3163 p4p, 117 weight class) and Ben Wood (ranked 2764 p4p, 106 weight class). Ben Wood will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ashby looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ashby ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ashby slips under a jab from Wood.
Wood cracks Ashby with an open hand slap.
A swing and a miss from Wood.

Ashby moves into the clinch.
Wood stalling the fight.
A right hook to the body lands for Wood.
Wood missing with knees to the body.
Wood is trying to break the clinch but Ashby has him pressed against the cage.
Ashby dodges an elbow strike from Wood.
Ashby really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wood just leaning against Ashby, taking a breather.

Wood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wood avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ashby misses with a takedown attempt
and Wood cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ashby takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
