Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Porter Seeks (ranked 17240 p4p, 541 weight class) and Janis Blums (ranked 5180 p4p, 469 weight class). Blums has chosen BEAST by Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Janis Blums!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seeks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Blums closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Seeks missing with knees to the body.
Seeks pushes off an throws an elbow but Blums leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Blums is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Blums jumps into guard, dragging Seeks to the mat.
Blums told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Blums bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seeks's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blums manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Blums jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Seeks walks away with a smile on his face. Blums gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Blums crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Seeks - the referee stops the clock and Blums gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Seeks. Blums manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
