Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Isadore James (ranked 5418 p4p, 477 weight class) and Jared Conors (ranked 5509 p4p, 481 weight class). James comes to the ring accompanied by Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws out a loose jab but Conors uses good head movement to avoid it.
James looks to throw a body kick

and Conors counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Conors.

Conors's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Conors tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.

James has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team DarkSpirit in the buildup to the fight.
Conors throws a nice head kick!
James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Conors's sensitive parts.

Conors takes the fight into the clinch.

Conors tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

James jabbing away but nothing is landing.
James misses with a body kick.
Conors is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Conors misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Conors just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromJames.

Conors escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
James throws a half hearted mid kick.
Conors tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The fight stays on the outside here - Conors looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Conors tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but James paws at him with a jab and circles away.
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Conors avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

James connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Conors onto his butt! Conors bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

It looks like Jared Conors has been cut.

and Conors holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
James is trying to push Conors away but Conors has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

James manages to break the clinch.
Conors tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
James tries to land a leg kick but Conors saw it coming and moves away.
James jabbing away but nothing is landing.
James throws a low kick, looking for Conors's leg but Conors calmly moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
James connects with a stiff jab that staggers Conors - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
