Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Camron Jones (ranked 4324 p4p, 421 weight class) and Karl Beilstein (ranked 5272 p4p, 0 weight class). Camron Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Karl Beilstein's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Camron Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karl Beilstein!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Jones misses with a double jab.
And Beilstein tries to counter it with a takedown but Jones pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Beilstein moves out of range of the strikes.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.

Jones darts in and clinches Beilstein up against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jones takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Beilstein shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beilstein stuffs the takedown.
Beilstein closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Beilstein pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Beilstein fails to land the takedown.
Camron Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Beilstein.

Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beilstein but Beilstein pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Beilstein takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Beilstein takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Horrible takedown attempt by Beilstein or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.
Beilstein gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jones.
Jones stalks Beilstein and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Beilstein's face. Beilstein staggers backwards, shaken.

Beilstein changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Beilstein looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beilstein misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Jones is trying to control Beilstein's posture but Beilstein avoids it.
The strikes coming from Beilstein are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Jones tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Beilstein working the strikes but Jones uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Jones is looking to improve his position but Beilstein isn't that keen on the idea.
Beilstein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Beilstein throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones because Beilstein loaded up on that one.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Poor strikes thrown by Beilstein there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Jones is looking to improve his position but Beilstein isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Beilstein throwing strikes but Jones recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Beilstein thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

and Beilstein decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.
Beilstein looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Beilstein escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jones with a nice cross.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Beilstein throws out the jab.

Beilstein is breathing heavily.

Jones clinches up with Beilstein and pushes him back against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jones controls the position from side control.
Beilstein tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jones is looking to take a break and control but Beilstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones slows the pace down.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Beilstein get back to his feet.
A jab from Jones finds it's way through Beilstein's defenses.
Beilstein stuffs the takedown.
Beilstein throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones drives through and clinches with Beilstein against the cage.
Beilstein tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Beilstein's guard.

Jones stands up and waves to Beilstein to follow him.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Beilstein is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Jones with a body shot.
Beilstein shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beilstein as he avoids it easily.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Beilstein bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beilstein tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beilstein to the ground. Beilstein escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones shoots in but Beilstein avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Beilstein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jones is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Beilstein fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Beilstein is now in Jones's guard.

Beilstein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones is pushing Beilstein's head away, looking to escape. Beilstein manages to hold on to the position though.
Jones parries the strikes from Beilstein easily there. Beilstein is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jones to escape.
Jones tries to buck Beilstein off but Beilstein is having none of it.

Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beilstein on the ground.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beilstein's waist but Beilstein gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Beilstein looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Beilstein persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones is trying to keep Beilstein in close.

Beilstein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Karl Beilstein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Camron Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Beilstein drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
