Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Porrier (ranked 4818 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Bam Bam (ranked 4819 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Porrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chase Bam Bam!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bam Bam looking to score a takedown here. Porrier is defending well but Bam Bam drives through and ends up in Porrier's guard.
Bam Bam seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Porrier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bam Bam can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bam Bam is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bam Bam is in close to Porrier's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bam Bam trying to control the position from guard on top but Porrier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bam Bam pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Porrier is keeping the position for now.

Porrier wants to sweep but no luck.

Porrier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bam Bam decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Porrier, up you get!
Bam Bam slaps away a takedown attempt from Porrier, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Porrier enables Bam Bam to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Porrier manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bam Bam wants to pass the guard but Porrier is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Porrier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bam Bam gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bam Bam lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Porrier keeping full guard, as Bam Bam tries to pass.

Bam Bam decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Porrier, up you get!

Bam Bam manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Porrier on his heels. He'll look to pass Porrier's guard now, I'm sure.
Bam Bam controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bam Bam won't allow Porrier to sweep him here.

Porrier looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Porrier is breathing heavily.
Bam Bam trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bam Bam stays in close to Porrier's body and controls the position.
Bam Bam distracts Porrier with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bam Bam wants to control from the top but Porrier keeps moving.
Bam Bam is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Porrier looks for a takedown but Bam Bam sprawls well.
Bam Bam throws a big counter head kick but Porrier avoids it with no problem.
Bam Bam takes a swing at Porrier's ribcage but misses.
Porrier dives in and grabs Bam Bam's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bam Bam pushes down on Porrier's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Porrier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bam Bam rushes Porrier and presses him up against the cage.
Porrier tries to pull guard but Bam Bam forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Bam Bam is working for takedown but Porrier is calmly controlling the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase Bam Bam dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Porrier gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bam Bam to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Porrier manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Bam Bam works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Porrier wriggles free and stands up.
Nick Porrier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Porrier scores with a push kick.
Bam Bam tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Porrier gets tackled into the cage by Bam Bam. Bam Bam maintains the clinch.
Bam Bam misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Porrier.
Porrier wants a takedown but no success here.

Bam Bam prevents a takedown attempt there.

Porrier pulls guard.

Bam Bam stands up and waves to Porrier to follow him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Porrier.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Porrier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bam Bam throws an overhand right that lands on Porrier's shoulder, as Porrier tries to avoid the shot.
Porrier looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Bam Bam has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Porrier shoots in but Bam Bam avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A head kick misses from Porrier.
Porrier wants to clinch.

Bam Bam displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Porrier.
Bam Bam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Porrier swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Bam Bam counters by moving into the clinch.
Bam Bam is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Porrier to keep the fight standing.

Bam Bam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bam Bam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Porrier paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Porrier closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Porrier lands in his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bam Bam can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Porrier will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Bam Bam looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Porrier shoots in looking for a takedown. Bam Bam tries to sprawl out of it but Porrier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bam Bam manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bam Bam changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Porrier goes for a double leg but Bam Bam avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bam Bam continues to drive forward.
Nice takedown defense from Bam Bam. No joy for Porrier on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Porrier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bam Bam has managed to clinch.
Bam Bam fails to pull guard.
Bam Bam is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Porrier pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bam Bam wants to sweep here but Porrier controlling him for the moment.

Bam Bam is trying to maintain the position but Porrier is very close to passing his half guard.
Bam Bam tries to kick Porrier off but Porrier keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Porrier tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bam Bam.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Porrier prevents Bam Bam from improving his position.
Porrier wants to free his trapped foot but Bam Bam is holding on for dear life with his legs.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Porrier slips a nice elbow through Bam Bam's hands, connecting with Bam Bam's forehead.
Bam Bam wants to control but Porrier passes into side.
Porrier trying to control the action but Bam Bam is working from the bottom.

Bam Bam is looking to reverse the position.
Porrier moves into full mount!
Porrier sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bam Bam is working to get back to half guard.
Bam Bam tries to hold on but Porrier pushes him away.
Bam Bam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Porrier has control of Bam Bam's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bam Bam regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Porrier is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bam Bam to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bam Bam shrugs it off.
Bam Bam can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bam Bam wants to hold on but Porrier pushes him away.
Bam Bam is looking to get to half guard.
Porrier avoids the attempt from Bam Bam to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nick Porrier showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Porrier has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
