Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fredrik Loow (ranked 4555 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Peterson (ranked 4851 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loow on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Loow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Peterson wants to counter with a clinch but Loow pushes him away.
Peterson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Peterson has managed to clinch.

Loow manages to break the clinch.
Loow throws a right and a left that both miss.
Peterson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Peterson.
Peterson looks for a takedown but Loow sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peterson darts in and clinches Loow up against the cage.
Peterson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Loow just stands there and leans against the cage.

Loow gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Peterson.

Peterson gets control of Loow's arms and successfully pulls guard. Peterson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Peterson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Loow is not content to let Peterson control the position.

Peterson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Peterson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Peterson wants to control but Loow is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Loow misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Loow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Loow wants it to stay on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Loow or perhaps it was just good defense by Peterson, which made it look bad.

Loow wants to control but Peterson is keeping him busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peterson kicks Loow off and gets back to his feet.
Loow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Loow wants it to stay on the feet.
Loow tries to counter by clinching up but Peterson breaks away and moves out of range.

Loow throws a sloppy head kick and Peterson moves out of range easily.

Peterson rushes Loow and presses him up against the cage.
Loow has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Peterson after a bit of a struggle.
Loow is trying to pull guard but Peterson has him pressed against the cage.
Loow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Peterson is defending well for now.

Loow is trying to drag Peterson to the mat but Peterson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Loow sprawls well. Loow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Peterson gets slowly back to his feet.

As Loow backs off Peterson throws a huge counter combo but Loow manages to avoid it all.

Loow closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Peterson quickly recovers to half guard.

Loow is stalling here. Peterson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Loow seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Peterson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
