Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kira Eggard (ranked 4955 p4p, 235 weight class) and Manlio Minuto (ranked 4577 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Eggard.
Eggard fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Minuto checks it well.
Minuto misses with an uppercut

and Eggard counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Eggard.

Minuto jumps into guard, dragging Eggard to the mat.
Minuto is trying to control the position but Eggard postures up.

Minuto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eggard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Eggard tries to stand but Minuto is controlling from the bottom.

Minuto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eggard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eggard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eggard wants to stand but Minuto has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Minuto throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Eggard escapes and throws Minuto's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Eggard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Minuto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Eggard tries to advance to mount but Minuto denies him.

Minuto is working to avoid the ground and pound but Eggard connects with a decent elbow.

Eggard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Minuto's guard.
Eggard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Eggard wants to stand but Minuto is controlling his posture from full guard.
Eggard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Eggard passes Minuto's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Eggard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Eggard stalling away here and it's allowed Minuto to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Eggard wants to get up but he can't break Minuto's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Minuto throws a leg kick but Eggard sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Minuto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eggard avoids it really well and circles away.

Minuto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As Minuto looks to move away, Eggard throws a big counter combo but Minuto just gets out of the way.
Eggard moves in looking to clinch but Minuto pushes him off.
Minuto tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Manlio Minuto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eggard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Eggard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Minuto is looking to improve his position.

Minuto is looking to control Eggard's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Minuto avoid being mounted?
Kira Eggard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Eggard wants to stand up but Minuto has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Eggard tries to pass the half guard into mount. Minuto knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Minuto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Eggard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Eggard's back!

Minuto is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Eggard is defending well though. Minuto let's go of the attempt for now.

I really don't envy Eggard right now.

Minuto is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Eggard knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Eggard for a finish.

Minuto has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Eggard is defending well but eventually Minuto manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Eggard has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
