Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Chong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Sam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chong comes into the arena with Death Angel - Falling Asleep blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bad Sam!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam blocks a head kick by Chong.
Chong tries to clinch up but Sam circles away and keeps his distance.
Chong throws a series of punches but Sam avoids them all with ease.
Chong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sam.
Chong misses with a double jab.
Chong misses with a looping left.
Sam takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Chong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chong throws a series of punches but Sam avoids them all with ease.
Sam showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chong.
Sam slips a jab and a cross from Chong.
Chong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sam.
Sam shoots in looking for a takedown. Chong tries to sprawl out of it but Sam keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sam moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sam fails to land with a series of punches.
Sam shoots in but no luck this time.
Jason Chong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bad Sam.

Sam is trying to take his opponent's back.

Poor strikes thrown by Sam there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Sam has hold of Chong's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chong manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chong wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chong is squirming around, avoiding Sam's attempts to control the action.
Sam goes for an armbar but Chong turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Chong.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chong wants to stand but Sam has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Sam is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sam seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Sam is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Chong has his hands clasped together but Sam extends an breaks Chong's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sam.
