Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julen Pandiani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julius Gable!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gable tries to clinch but Pandiani moves out of range.
Gable throws a head kick that half lands.
Pandiani is looking to clinch but Gable is avoiding it.

Gable prevents the takedown attempt.

Pandiani has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gable clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gable tries to escape but Pandiani has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Pandiani really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Gable.

Pandiani lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Gable can't escape the position.
Gable is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Julen Pandiani just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Pandiani shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gable's guard.

Gable takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Pandiani has control of Gable's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gable regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Pandiani takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pandiani seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gable for as long as he can get away with.

Gable tries to hold on but Pandiani pushes him away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee warns Gable that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pandiani takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
