And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vovka Digal!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Digal looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Davis throws a right and a left that Digal avoids nicely.
A combination from Digal does no damage.

Davis darts in and clinches Digal up against the cage.
Davis wants a takedown but no success here.

Digal escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Digal looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Davis stuns Digal with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Davis cracks Digal with an open hand slap.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Digal fails in his attempt to clinch.
Digal throws out a loose jab but Davis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Davis tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Digal manages to circle out of the way.
Digal throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Digal.

Davis looks to throw the jab but Digal is out of range.
Despite the aggression on Digal's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Digal showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davis.
And Digal tries to counter it with a takedown but Davis pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Davis looks to land a right hand but Digal moved out of range.
Digal lunges at Davis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Davis's hand.
A slow jab from Davis misses its intended target.
Davis on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Digal.
Davis is looking to clinch.
Digal lands a really nice looking cross but Davis seems unphased.
Digal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Digal feints a jab promting Davis to slip. Digal then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Davis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Davis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Digal tries to clinch but Davis moves out of range.
A combination from Digal does no damage.
Davis throws a head kick that misses.
Digal changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A head kick misses from Davis.
Davis throws a looping overhand right but Digal ducks down to avoid it.
Digal misses with a double jab.
Digal swinging wildly here.

Digal scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sloppy strikes from Digal. Those never looked like landing.
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Digal.
Davis misses with a leg kick.
Digal avoids the head kick by Davis.
Digal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Digal takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Davis misses with a series of wild punches.
Digal moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


Davis is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Digal throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Davis stumbling backwards into the cage! Davis bounces back off the cage towards Digal, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Digal lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Digal celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vovka Digal!
