Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Wilkinson (ranked 4550 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ex Peri (ranked 4619 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilkinson comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones - Cant be Touched. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Peri misses

and Wilkinson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wilkinson.

Peri is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilkinson defends well.
Wilkinson pushing down on Peri's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Wilkinson works his foot free and advances to mount.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peri is bucking up trying to escape but Wilkinson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wilkinson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Peri is looking to improve his position but Wilkinson isn't that keen on the idea.
Wilkinson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilkinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wilkinson lands a couple of good shots and Peri has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Wilkinson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Peri is defending well though. Wilkinson let's go of the attempt for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilkinson has Peri flattened out and is raining down punches.

Peri tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Wilkinson has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Peri is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
