Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sufyan Amin!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson cracks Amin with a right hand to the side of the head.
Amin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
Johnson lands a head shot.

Amin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amin gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Sufyan Amin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson lands a jab to the head.


Amin is rocked!
Amin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.
Amin is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
Roy Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sufyan Amin.
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Amin seems to have recovered his senses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Amin has a takedown stuffed.
Amin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Amin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Amin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Roy Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck for Amin with that takedown attempt.
Amin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Johnson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Amin's head.

Johnson moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Amin goes down! Can Johnson finish him!?
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Amin's guard.
Johnson is controlling the pace.
Johnson works his way into side control.
Amin tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Check out the look on Johnson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amin keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amin keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson gets to mount! Amin was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Amin is looking to get to half guard.
Amin flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Amin swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Johnson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Amin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Amin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Johnson prevents Amin from getting the reversal.

Johnson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Amin manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Johnson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Amin is avoiding damage well.
Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Amin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Amin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Amin gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Amin is bucking up trying to escape but Johnson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roy Johnson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Amin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.

Amin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnson feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson connects with a looping right hand.
Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Johnson cracks Amin's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Amin slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Johnson can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roy Johnson!
