The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arrivederci keeps the fight on the outside.
Pople has a takedown stuffed.

Arrivederci bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Arrivederci decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Pople shoots in but Arrivederci avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pople tries to keep at a distance but Arrivederci has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pople drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arrivederci gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Arrivederci wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pople has him pressed against the cage.

Arrivederci is taking a breather. Pople says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pople is defending against the submission attempts here by Arrivederci.
Arrivederci wants to free his trapped foot but Pople is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Arrivederci in particular looking to stall.

Pople got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arrivederci has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pople has managed to get both his arms back between Arrivederci's legs - danger averted.

Arrivederci is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pople knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Arrivederci is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pople will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Arrivederci has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
