And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Hines!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hines gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kirchen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kirchen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hines dives on top into guard.


Kirchen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kirchen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kirchen tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hines is having to fend off submission attempts from Kirchen, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kirchen doesn't have the hooks in though and Hines manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Mark Hines has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kirchen is looking to control Hines's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirchen avoid being mounted?

Hines uses his free foot to push down on Kirchen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kirchen.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kirchen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hines tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mark Hines showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Kirchen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hines to the mat! Hines manages to get full guard.

Well Hines has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
